AireCanada Rescue Network Adoption Application

This is an application - it is NOT - an agreement to adopt a dog. A phone interview, vet reference check, and a home/fence check will follow in most cases. When you and the right dog find each other, a placement contract will need to be signed.

AireCanada volunteers will be glad to answer general questions about the Airedale breed; about how we are funded; about how our rescue organization works; BUT - we will wait to discuss specific Airedales until after you are approved for adoption. Please be patient as this approval process may take some time.

We are all volunteers - not paid employees - who spend countless hours helping unwanted Airedales. All adoptive Airedales are brought up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm preventive, freshly bathed and groomed, and spayed / neutered (except in rare cases when age or health makes that impossible) prior to adoption. The Airedales are temperament tested in an experienced foster home. The foster caregivers have the final say in who is chosen to adopt the Airedale in their care. At the time of adoption there is a requested donation of between $150 and $300 to cover expenses.

The information submitted on this application is confidential and will be used only for the purpose of matching rescued Airedales with new owners.

Pet ownership is a serious commitment that the entire household needs to consider and agree to before the animal is adopted. We want to ensure that each adoptive household is aware of, and willing and able to accept, the physical and financial responsibilities of pet ownership. Not everyone who desires to own a pet is ready to properly care for one. This questionnaire will assist both you and us in determining if your household is prepared to assume the role of responsible caretaker for a rescued animal. Thank you for filling it out!

Submitting this form is only the first stage of adopting an Airedale Terrier; you will be contacted and interviewed by a member of the AireCanada Airedale Rescue Network. The rescue volunteer will make the final decision on if you may adopt, and which Airedale you may adopt. Thank you for caring about rescues.

If you wish, you may expand on your answers in the comments section at the bottom of the form.
