Buddy is a happy, healthy, boisterous four year old Airedale with an enthusiastic character to match his size. He probably weighs around 90lbs. We think his energetic nature and positive temper would undoubtedly respond well to obedience classes. He is vivacious and eager to please and very curious about the world around him. He is protective of his home and family. He is a good-natured fellow, though his energy level means an adult oriented home with a large yard or in a rural setting would be ideal. He would probably do well with teens who have previous experience with dogs.

Buddy has been well cared for which shows in his immaculate coat and happy expression. He has been neutered. He is easy to groom and will prance proudly after a bath and brush.

Buddy has learned to sit, stay and come, though he would enjoy a home that would help him practice more often and teach him new tricks. As Buddy is very smart, there is no doubt he would learn quickly. His strong appetite should make him easy to train with treat motivation.

A home with cats or other small pets would not be suitable for Buddy.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS DOG. HE HAS BEEN PLACED IN A NEW HOME!

Handsome Teddy Bear would love to have a new home before he reaches the age of five months on Feb. 10.

This Airedale pup lavishes affection on all he meets. He’s also very smart and, in the past two weeks, has learned to sit, to recall, to walk on leash, and to understand the concept of house training.  He likes  men, women and children, and is on his way to being well-socialized.  He plays enthusiastically with the Airedales who live in his present foster home. Although we haven’t checked this out, we suspect Teddy would be fine with cats as well. We think he would love to have older children (age 10+) or other dogs in his new home for companionship and fun.

Teddy Bear is in excellent health. He has had his puppy vaccinations and a vasectomy which will prevent him from reproducing without interfering with his physical or mental development. Teddy’s tail is undocked and he retains his dewclaws.  He possesses excellent conformation and has the nicest coat we have ever seen on an Airedale puppy.

We like Teddy’s temperament very much. While he is slightly wary at first, he soon adapts to new situations, is consistently friendly and behaves politely. He learns very quickly what behaviors will not be accepted and which are fine. Considering he is a teething puppy, Teddy, if he is supervised, does not seem to chew randomly or cause significant amounts of household damage.  He currently sleeps in a crate but doubtless will be fine on a dog bed near his owner when he grows up a wee bit more.

We would favor a home for Teddy Bear where he will be raised holistically with a view to his enjoying a long, happy life. A securely fenced yard is a requirement as it is for all Airedales placed by AireCanada. Teddy Bear is a real “people dog” and, in our estimation, will do best with a family where someone is home much of the time.

If you are interested in adopting Teddy Bear, please complete and submit the application form . If you would like further information about Teddy Bear, please  contact Maureen Scott < generic.puppy@gmail.com >

Rambo

Ruby and Rambo, pictured above, are two handsome, energetic seven-year-old litter-mates who require new homes.  These are very well-bred,  healthy Airedales. Both are good-natured,  friendly, extremely affectionate and would make sensational pets. They are located in the Lower Mainland area of BC.

Ruby and Rambo may be adopted as a pair or may be separated to go to individual homes. We would recommend a session or two of obedience training for both.  Since these two have been raised with other dogs, we suspect that both would enjoy a  canine companion but this is not an essential condition for adoption.  We are unsure about their liking for cats and so would prefer not to adopt either out to a home already owning cats unless the cats are dog-savvy.  Because these dogs are energetic, they would suit an adult-only household or one with older children.

Ruby and Rambo are really playful and will very much enjoy a home where they will receive lots of exercise and attention.  Since these two have been raised using many holistic methods, we would favor a new household that would be willing to continue to treat them more or less  holistically.

To be considered to adopt either of these dogs, completing an application, which can be found on our home page, is required. Please specify somewhere on the application that you are interested in either Ruby or Rambo or both.
