Seda in Ottawa

Seda has found her forever home and has been adopted.  Thanks for the interest.

Seda is a sweet beautiful 6 year old Aire-girl looking for her forever family.  She is located in Ottawa and will be a wonderful companion for the right people.

Five things that need to be considered if thinking about adopting Seda:

1. She hasn’t had very much human affection or interaction. She can be a bit  jumpy, nervous, uneasy at times.
2. She has accidents on the floor occasionally and doesn’t seem to be completely house trained but is really learning the ropes.
3. She never had regular vet visits. Shots were not always kept up to date. Seda is now up to date with vaccinations.  She is tender with her back end and hips, favoring the right side when she sits down.
4. She has had minimal human interaction and is unable to follow commands like sit or lay down. She is very smart but not trained to do the simplest of commands. But I believe she is very capable of learning and we have been working with her everyday to try and teach her.
5. She runs away if given the opportunity. She has to be on a leash at all times when outside. She is not trained to come back to owner when called. When you open the patio door, if not careful, she will dart outside.
The five best things about Seda:
1. She is very affectionate and cuddling with owner after establishing some trust. She loves cuddles.
2. She is very good on walks. Walks beside you with minimal pulling and jumping.
3. She is calm and easy going for an Airedale.  She enjoys quiet environments with no yelling (as it makes her skittish). She enjoys laying on her dog bed in front of the fireplace in close proximity to her owner.
4. She loves dog treats and bones!!
5. She is a smaller female, shorter build. She is a good weight. She eats very well. Seda is a CKC reg. dog from AERIE AIREDALES. Breeder/Owner: Pat Neil.
She needs an owner to trust, who has patience, who can teach her, provide affection cuddles and lots of human contact, who will walk her and give her lots of exercise and ultimately be the owner that will keep her long term. A quite house would be the ideal environment for her.
Please note Seda will only be placed in a home with a fenced yard and no small children.

Watson Meets an Angel – Adopted!

As of May 26, Watson has been adopted.  YAY Watson!

My name is Watson and my life has just done a 180 degree turn.  I am a young boy around one and I used to live in a house with a family.  I guess they didn’t know what Airedales were all about and couldn’t handle my jokes so they tied me up outside on a short leash.  I have been living like that for a while and that family was moving so a sweet angel who used to come and take me for walks asked to adopt me!   Before I knew it I was allowed back in this house with a wonderful caring couple and I get lots of food, and treats and I have been showing them what a good boy I can be.  I haven’t had any accidents and I have really nice calm energy when I am indoors.  I even love my crate!  My angels had me groomed because I hadn’t had a haircut before.  I was so matted I had to get shaved but I don’t mind because I sleep inside now!  My furnishings and beard will grow in beautifully now that there are no knots.

So that is all I can tell you for now.  I am not sure about kids, other dogs or cats because I have never really seen any of those things.  I did have kids at my first house but I don’t remember if I was allowed to play with them.

My foster family will update the blog when we learn more about me.  In the meantime, I can tell you that I am a very sweet boy and will make any family proud!  My Angels said something about dog shcool.  I am not sure what that is all about but I will let you know!

Munroe – Ottawa area

If you are in or near the Ottawa area and would like the chance to have a beautiful 6 year old (7 in 3 weeks) AireBoy join your family then Munroe is for you.  This healthy boy is a registered Airedale, he is neutered, up to date on his shots and recently had a dental cleaning.  He is good with other dogs, very funny and well trained.   We aren’t sure about cats since he has never lived with one but does like to bark at them.

Munroe is in a heartbreaking situation.  He is loosing his home due to an illness in the family and the family are devistated at having to say good bye to this beautiful boy.  Can you be his and their Angel by taking him into your family?

Not only are we looking for a permanent home for Munroe, we also need an Airedale experience foster home.  Please contact me, Stephanie (rebels_mommy@yahoo.com), immediately if you think you’re an ideal family for fostering Munroe.

If you are considering adopting Munroe, please complete the adoption application and I will be in touch.

Thanks for thinking of a rescue,

Stephanie

***** Congratulations to Munroe and Belinda and family on the adoption of this beautiful boy!*******  Pictures to follow!
